Load rating: the number to actually check

The spec that decides whether a wheel is safe on your vehicle.

Every wheel carries a maximum load per wheel, in kilograms. Multiply by four and compare against the gross vehicle weight of the truck, plus whatever you carry.

A wheel that looks identical can be rated very differently depending on the process and the spoke design. Cosmetics tell you nothing about the rating.

If your market requires JWL, VIA, TUV or another approval, ask for the certificate before you order, not after.
