How to measure a bolt pattern

Getting this wrong is the most common ordering mistake.

A bolt pattern is written as the number of studs multiplied by the diameter of the circle they sit on, in millimetres. 6x139.7 means six studs on a 139.7 mm circle.

On an even number of studs, measure centre to centre across from one stud to the one directly opposite. On five studs, measure from the centre of one stud to the outer edge of the stud two positions away.

5x112 and 5x114.3 are only 2.3 mm apart and will not interchange. If you are unsure, send us the vehicle and year and we will confirm it.
